WTF Circular Fashion

This is not a new concept - Nature is circular, the Earth is circular and everything used should be reused where possible.

In the fashion industry, this means designing pieces that:

1. Use eco-minded materials, dyes, and components that don’t pollute the environment.

2. Make use of every scrap of fabric (original or recycled), minimising waste.

3. Are built to last, keeping products and materials in use for longer (slow fashion).

It’s about repairing, restoring, refurbishing, and as a last resort, recycling them. This is made easier when the original maker/designer of the garment has this full lifecycle in mind for the future of the product.

We cannot be reliant on non-renewable resources to produce garments. A circular economy is about not taking more from the earth than you give back.

We would love to see no more synthetic fabrics, no more plastic fabrics like polyester and nylon which are derived from fossil fuels.

WTF has partnered with Little Yellow Bird who produce garments in a regenerative way. The 100% organic cotton we use for our tees is made by one of two cooperatives in Odisha, India

Traditional farming practices are used relying on weather patterns. The small-scale farmers can produce high quality cotton that is rain-fed and free of nasty chemicals and pesticides.

100 per cent circular means applying a circular approach to every aspect of our value chain. Even when your tee is at the end of its life we will take it back and it will be stripped back down to the fibre level, turned into a pulp and recycled back into the textile ecosystem.
